Colchester Zoo Questions about Colchester

Hi there. I have a few questions, and was wondering if any other Colchester regulars could answer them for me?

1. Is the elegant crested tinamou still on display in the old orang enclosure, and if so does anyone know the plans for the species in the future?
2. Is there a specific time to see the long-tailed tamanduas (e.g. a feeding time), because I'm getting pretty desperate to see it!
3. Is the binturong/leaf monkey/otter mix permanent, because on my latest visit I observed a minor confrontation between the otters and one of the binturongs.

If you can help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

1. I haven't seen the Tinamou on my last few visits, and am unsure of the future plans for it.
2. I can't really reccomend a time, except for if you visit at halloween or xmas, when the zoo is open til 9pm. I have always seen them then. Maybe they will be more active when they move into the new walkthrough in the next few weeks.
3. Not sure, however looks to be so at the moment due to the fact that both binturong enclosures have been demolished in recent months.

Thanks for the quick answers. Much appreciated. I guess I could deal with waiting a few weeks to get a view of the tamanduas :D

I don't think that's a problem. When I saw this on my last visit a couple of weeks ago I thought that enclosure showed the binterongs off really well. I hope they continue with having them in that enclosure.
