Questions!

Giraffes docile? Okapi docile? No zoo animal is docile...some have been conditioned and allow keepers to handle them, but none of them are close to docile. Its important to remember that all these animals are still wild even though they are captive and are very capable of injuring/killing people. Trust me.
 
I guess he meant docile as as in won't necessarily tear you apart if you enter their enclosure. I've worked with giraffe and they just tend to stand there so I would classify them as "docile". (P.S - I guess you probably have worked with them too, just saying :p)

I know crushes are used in NZ zoos for the giraffes and keepers will not enter into indoor enclosures with either them or adult zebra... I think this demonstrates the danger they pose and the reason why they are called wild...
