That's good to know, hope I can see them again before their deathsWent today. All the animals were out except the zebras, who I'm guessing were hiding in the behind the scenes area.
Diamond the Andean bear and the West Caucasian tur are both still alive.
There must be very few left in North American zoos now. Sad to see them go as a threatened species. The last West Caucasian Tur has died at Racine Zoo. He was originally born at San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park on May 18, 2005 and moved to the Racine Zoo in October of 2006 where he lived till his death: Racine Zoo's last tur dies

I believe the only AZA holder of tur is Toronto now, it's such a shame that the species will likely disappear from the AZA within the next couple years. There must be very few left in North American zoos now. Sad to see them go as a threatened species.
It's sad to see him go too now, I'm happy I was able to see him, but I hope whatever takes over the area will bring me as much joy as seeing himThe last West Caucasian Tur has died at Racine Zoo. I’d imagine so but Racine likes to keep quiet about its happenings. There may be new animals already.Any plans on getting new animals? With the bear enclosure and the West Caucasian Tur mountain both empty Racine has got to be looking for replacement animals of some kind.
