Racism in football yes or no?

Why in this day and age do we have to put up with Racism in Football, the actions today at Old Trafford only go to show that the FA no longer have the respect of the players or managers of the Premier League.

The alleged player and manager who has backed him from the start should both be charged with bringing the game into distribute and have a season long ban imposed on them worldwide this would show everyone that the FA stands by its word in trying to stamp out Racism and send a warning to every player in the UK that it will not be tolerated by anyone.

We ALL know that nothing will be done because the FA has not got the backbone to do anything because it’s Liverpool involved, imagine if it had been Mr Barton, Mr Keene. Mr Vieira, Mr R Ferdinand, Sir A Ferguson I can lay bets on the FA having them in on Monday morning and dishing out a massive ban.

What should the FA do or should they do nothing at all and is that acceptable?

Why are some players treated differently to others Suarez gets a ban and Terry has to go to court?

Todays actions by said player prove the character of the man.

He celebrated cheating at the world cup, so to expect anything above his actions today would have been optimistic. I thought KD had more of a backbone, I thought he would have told him to grow a pair and move on.

Sadly, Liverpool FC are the ones who will come off worse. The reputation they have is being dragged into the gutter, which is a great shame. As a fan of neither club, I can look at this from outside.

LS was a idiot today, whether he meant it or not he should have shaken Evra's hand.

Saurez out of order for not shaking hands - pathetic
Kenny defending his player to the press through gritted teeth - you could see it, I bet he went through him like a ton of bricks back in the dressing room.
Evra was poor celebrating the way he did in front of Suarez who ignored him.
Everyone has now apologised and Liverpool v Man Utd wont happen until at least next season which is a good thing. Let it settle down.

As for questioning the difference between Saurez and Terry incidents, just read the two reports on the subjects, they are miles apart in terms of similarity, look and you will see, but to make it brief.

Saurez - Allegedly racially insulted Evra (inquest later found him guilty) & using terminology acceptable from his own country.
Terry - Visibly seen on camera calling Ferninand racially, also witness's who heard it. NOT using terminology acceptable from his own country.

@POOTLE it maybe a different type of case but if you can speak spanish which I can't but my niece can when watching the socalled incident on tv my niece turned round and said what a racist b-----d so I presume could many other spanish speaking people.

I do not agree with any type of Racism and to have it put in front of you and young children for that matter who watch football then something should be done and not just a 8 match ban.

Alot of supports across the country are saying what if that had been a player like Mr Barton, Mr R. Keane, Mr E. Cantona or Mr P Viera would they have recieved a 8 match ban supports don't think so it would have been much much more.

Now that the FA have said they are taking NO further action against anyone from Liverpool it now brings in the question of sportsmanship, now that the FA have done this to Liverpool it makes it clear to ALL footballers that you can do what ever you want on the pitch as long as you say SORRY the day after you won't get punished

The FA are a joke RANT OVER (Blackpool fan who doesn't want to come back to the cheating unsportsman like premiership)

EDIT -

While I am on about football in general why if a player is sent off with the score at 0 - 0 and at the end of the game his team have lost 2 - 0 then a few days later he as the red card recinded then why isn't the result voided and the match replayed with the score and time starting from when the player was sent off or could it be down to cost if so then the FA should foot the bill and why aren't referee's charged with bringing the game into distripute for the outragously wrong calls they make on a pitch.

Again football is becoming a joke under this FA

Your neice actually heard this from the match back in October? - I don't think anyone else did apart from Evra and the referee, the FA had to call lip reading experts and body language experts in to discover what was said and their reactions to it, so I don't think your neice heard it at the time as no one else did.

Punishment has been handed out, Saurez served his punishment ban, Suarez apologised. He has also apologized for his silly behaviour about the handshake incident. let it go Adrian its in the past this one now.

As for you saying that playing games again after a referee mistake and rescinded red cards.....you are winding us up now surely

My niece did ask me to replay it 3 times and as for the lip reading experts they came in for the defence not the prosocution.
If no one else saw it how come it was all over twitter before the end of the game

Has for the replaying games yes I am serious or is it a concept that a football team or the FA can't get there heads.

If I was to sell you 12 bottles of beer and say I took one away but you have already paid for it, after 2 days I say i was wrong to take the bottle of beer away because I made a mistake you would want that bottle of beer back wouldn't you, or say I was your employer and decided to take away a weeks wages from your monthly pay after you had paid tax and then 2 days later said ooh sorry made a mistake you would want your weeks money back wouldn't you so why should the paying public not be entitled to the full 90 minutes with 22 players on the pitch.

Another thing people have noticed from the lower leagues is why is a player in the Premiership allowed to wave an imaginery card and get away with it when in the lower leagues they will get booked for it (go on say it there's a different rule in the premiership)
5 years ago the premiership was the best place to watch football now it's one of the most embarrasing leagues in the world (Fact) to many divers to many players trying to get each other sent off to many players not trying players getting there managers the sack and then like magic playing out there skins for the new one.

Just look at the facts the premier league is not a league for football anymore it's about winning at all costs and making as much money for the owners as possible forget what the supports want.

I will be closing on that point as you say let it lie.

.

all the man u hordes would have seen it. the same ones who condoned cantona jumping feet first into the crowd and keane breaking a city players leg, not to mention the phantom penalties v chelsea last week.
of course in todays world millionares calling each other nasty names and refusing to shake hands is deemed to be worse than the leg breaking etc. and the whole circus is orchestrated by the gutter press.
i can probably guess but out of curiosity, which team does your niece support?

Suarez is just a ***-hole. I do not approve off racism in any way, but I think it cannot be banned, simply because people will always insult eachother. And insulting will often involve a persons appearance ( small, fat, read hair, and most extreme, a persons racial background). Perhaps it's better not to make this any bigger, and just ignore this guy.

@dublinlion unfortunatly she supports Aston Villa, and I agree he is a ---hole and for that matter so was the manager but yes they did appologise and in hindsight we should just get on with life.

EDIT -

The FA really missed a chance to show FIFA that they were really trying to stamp out Racism but hey who cares these days not footballers by the look of it.
