Rarest animal(s) at your local zoo

Since you do not include aquariums, I don't have a local zoo. However, the zoos of the capital city of my country holds some rarities. From memory, Madrid Zoo-Aquarium holds local treasures: Spanish Imperial Eagle, Iberian Lynx and Spanish Ibex, and two of their fishes are only kept in this collection withing Europe: the Bali catshark (Atelomycterus baliensis) and the blue-spotted mudskipper (Boleophthalmus pectinirostris). The other main zoo of Madrid city, Faunia, is the only European zoo that holds Adelie penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae), brocket deer Mazama gouazoubira, and NancyMa's night monkey (Aotus nancymaae). It also holds a number of not unique, but rare species, from prehensile-tailed porcupines to potto, Hoffmann's two-toed sloth, eastern quoll or the snake Lachesis stenophrys.

Bristol Zoo:
Aruba Rattlesnake, Turquoise Gecko, Keeled Box Turtle, Lord Howe Stick Insect, Desertas Wolf Spider, Golden Lion Tamarin, Eastern Quoll, Blue-Eyed Black Lemur, and Drill among others.
Wildplace:
Okapi, Alaotra Gentle Lemur, White-banded Ruffed Lemur

My closest zoo would probably be Chessington Zoo and although I haven't been in years. Looking at Zootierliste and their website I can make somewhat of a list.

- Black-Throated Monitor
- Eastern Casquehead Iguana
- False Water Cobra
- Meller's Chameleon
- Northern Curly-Tailed Lizard
- Three-Toed Box Turtle
- West African Mud Turtle

As you can see, it's exclusively reptiles really. They do have some other interesting bits but I wouldn't call them 'rare'.

Eastern lowland gorilla
African keeled mud turtle
Central African giant mud turtle
Gaboon caecilian
Western dwarf clawed frog
red and blue poison frog
northern dry zone slender loris
Humboldt's night monkey
black-and-rufous elephant shrew
Arabian chestnut-bellied sandgrouse
house bunting

I was more than a little frustrated to find their exhibit was empty and under redevelopment when I visited last month :P

Thank you and you are most likely right the amount of off exhibit animals is insane that they most likely have them
Columbus does have clouded leopards but theyre off exhibit animals unfortunately, theyre my 2nd favorite cat, wish they would give them a viewable habitat.
