Did l miss this?

How long has the "rating thread" feature been available?
 
Interesting. I had not noticed that until I saw your post. How does a thread get rated? This one was showing five stars (or green squares) after only your initial posting.

at the top of the thread (top right) is a little tab saying "Rating": click on it and a drop-bar appears with which to rate the thread. Its been here for quite a long time I think (not that I've ever used it)
 
Does it take an average of all the ratings? And have other people rated this thread now? It was on 5 squares so I voted 1 square (I don't think this thread is terrible, I did it for science :) ) and it only went down to 4 squares.
 
I think it averages all the ratings, and I'm almost positive I've seen it many times before although I hadn't used it either.

Really! are you guessing or do you know this?

As l would be surprised if l had missed it for that long.
