On Feb. 2013 19 Siamese crocs were releasd near the village Than Soum in the Xe Champhone wetland complex in Savanakhet province in the Lao PDR.
The eggs from which the young hatched had been found in this area and brought to the Lao Zoo where they were raised for the last 19 months. Now that they are big enough they were released in a pen were they still recieve some kind of care. When the wet seizun starts in several months the pen will be flooded and the crocs will be completly free.
I know of similar projects on the Philippines and other places but even so I would like to know if other zooChatters can inform us about other croc-release projects.
