Sea serpents are real! Forget the lame mermaid "documentaries" that have been popping up on television, here is amazing real video of an oarfish.

The footage was taken in the Gulf of Mexico with an remote-operated vehicle.

I've never seen one "facing" the camera (only side-on): I had no idea how thin they actually were!

Really amazing too watching the rippling of the dorsal fin to maintain its position.

yes, their natural position in the water is vertical rather than horizontal as in "normal" fish.
