The zoo is opening Sunday 13th May as part of the annual college open day

I was there too... Well, at the end of the drive anyway. When I saw the huge queue of cars and vast number of people, I decided a beautiful nearby garden would be a lot more relaxing!

A young female Capybara is on the loose in Nantwich after escaping from Reaseheath at the end of last week. The youngster was in quarantine after recently arriving when she managed to break out... anyone local who spots the escapee is asked to ring the college

1.1 Black Lemur (mother and son) arrived from Exmoor

0.3 Capybara were also moved to Drayton Manor earlier in the Summer

From Facebook:
"We'd like to introduce you to one of our newest residents. He may look like a snake, but he's actually a Legless Lizard; Scheltopusik.
The main features which set this species apart from snakes are their eye lids and ear holes (which snakes don't have) and the remnants of hind limbs which are now just small bumps on the body.
We think our students will love him, you can find him in Reptile Room 1!"
