Cologne Zoo Red Howlers

Cologne had 2,2 founders:
- 1,0 Chico (still alive, about 24 years old, he came from a private keeper in Spain in 1989)
- 1,0 Kuni (he came to Cologne in 2001 and died in 2008), 0,1 Mita (still alive) and 0,1 Negrita (came together with Kuni and Mita, she died in 2011) - these three were confiscated at Frankfurt Airport in 2001
- Three further animals from the wild (1,1 came in 1987, 0,1 2007 from Frankfurt Zoo - went to Aquazoo Friesland in 2010) never bred.
Chico and Kuni bred with different females, so Mita, Negrita and one older daughter of Mita, Runa (born 2003). In 2009 two males from Dalles World Aquarium arrived at Cologne, they already prove to be successful breeding males.

2009 (0,0), 2010 (1,1), 2011 (1,0)
