Released pygmy hogs thriving

Jersey has been working with these guys since the late seventies, with (from memory) varying success. It's good to know their efforts are finally coming together.

Great news!

Do any zoos exhibit them? If not, have they ever been exhibited?

London Zoo purchased a male and three female pygmy hogs on 1st May 1882.

Young were born in London for four consecutive years (1883 - 1886 inclusive) although, sadly, I don't think any were successfully reared.

Much more recently, Zurich Zoo had pygmy hogs in the late 1970s / early 1980s.

I saw the pygmy hogs at Zurich . I think the importation was linked to the work that Jersey was doing but they could not import them directly . They bred at Zurich but one of the breeding pair died , not certain how long they were there .
