reptile keepers

Are the crocodile skinks easy to handle or do they not like it. Also do they swim in the water much like a caiman lizard or crocodile?

The male will tolerate being picked up but once he decides he's had enough he bolts, they've got a good turn of speed on them. The female just squirms and poo's on you till you let go. I dont handle them regularly like i would a beardie though.
Yes they love water, i find rather than just open water if you put some moss and plants in they prefer to hide amongst those.
Overall they're great, not the showiest species ive kept but fantastic looking and something a bit different.

I own some.
0.2.0 Red foot tortoises
0.1.0 Russian tortoise
0.0.1 Sulcata tortoise
1.0.0 Chinese water dragon

How big is the sulcata? Where do you keep it? Is it as much of a handful as people say? I love them, but their sized and sexual aggression give me pause.

Would like to welcome to my collection 1.2 African house snakes (Lamprophis fuliginosus).

Also we have the addition of 1.1 Chinese fire-bellied newts (in addition to the original 2.1 that are kept separatly from the 1.1). 0.0.2 tadpoles hatched last Wednesday (29th June).

M facebook page Fauna Gardens | Facebook is designed to keep anybody interested up to date with any updates on my private collection. Although it's only small at the moment, we have several plans for new species over the next twelve months.

So far I only have:

0.2.1 Neon Gliding Lizards, Hoplapsis Guenthri

I ordered 1.3 but the male died a day later. The unknown was suppose to be a female but it is quite larger than the females so I can only hope it turns out to be a male.

2.0.0 Flame-bellied Girdled Lizard, Cordylus Mossambicus

Hopefully I can trade in a male for a female and start breeding.

I was offered a great deal for my one Electric Blue Gecko, I got a giant cage that will hopefully house 1.1.0 Madagascan Jeweled Lizard ( don't know the scientific name.)

Around Christmas I will be finally getting the breeding pairs of L. Williamsi and L. picturatus/L. kimhowelli.

I know this isn't a reptile but there is a pair of spiny mice at a local pet store for $15 each and I'm seriously looking into it. There really interesting.

I like spiny mice.

I also techincally own a pair of another species but I don't have them yet - they're paid for and are in the shop until I can the setup finished. I will be letting you all know when they arrive :)

So far this year, I've narrowly missed out on a male red-tailed boa and two male yellow-bellied sliders. Some species I have my eye on include Honduran milksnake, bullsnake and ocellated skinks.

My people, finally. I dont have many herps, but heres my list:

3 leopard geckos(2 high yellows and 1 jungle)
2 green anoles (terrible idea I know)
1 long tailed grass lizard

Told you guys its not that impressive, mainly because im in college.

I have a soft spot for agamas and hope to have sinai or blue trees one day. Maybe even secret or butterfly, but I don't have 500 to blow on a lizard neither do I want a lizard thats extremely problematic in captive situations. Are yours cb? I would doubt that they are, but europe has a lot more cb animals than America does so theres always a possibility. What does there cage look like?

Not really had a large collection myself - hopefully will have that when money allows and after university!

But my current collection is just a 1.0 Bearded Dragon

My previous animals are:
1.0 Testudo graeca ibera (old age)
1.4 WC Green Anoles
3.7 1st Generation Breeding (I bred) Green Anoles
1.3. WC Green Anoles
1.2 2nd Generation Breeding (I bred) Green Anoles
Sadly had a fungal infection which killed off all my Anoles :(

I need to get a backdrop at some point for it, but that's pretty much my set up [minus the bark, which was replaced with another exo-terra cave].

As to whether they're captive bred I doubt it, don't think they're particularly widely bred, but I don't know for certain. They are highly skittish and have a bit of a tendency to freak out, nothing major but want to lessen that as best I can. They are a species I'd love to get a successful breeding for, it is a pleasure to keep them.
