G'day Nick,
We are streamlining our macropod collection. Have phased out the Swamp Wallabies and will also gradually phase out the Red-necks. Our macropod focus will be on our Red Kangaroos, Whip-tail Wallabies and Tammar Wallabies. The Whip-tails and the Tammars are currently in the one habitat and the Red Kangaroos share with the Emu.
Our Australian reptile area is undergoing enormous changes so all of our elapids are currently off show. Our old rear opening display cabinets are all being replaced with much safer front opening displays. New insulation, new electrical wiring and extra displays are being added. We hope to have all this completed by the Spring school holidays.
Our outdoor reptiles are all pretty much hibernating at the moment. On a sunny day you might catch a glimpse of some Shinglebacks or Blue-tongues during the day, but not for long. Some Perentie have just arrived and will go on show in the Spring.
About time you made a visit!!
