P PAT Well-Known Member 15+ year member 12 Jun 2009 #1 I was just flicking through the Alma Park Zoo website and it says they have greater rhea...It got me wondering what other facilities hold them and how viable they are in Australia. Western Plains Zoo had about 3 when I was there last week.

P phoenix Well-Known Member 12 Jun 2009 #2 a few private zoos do, like crocodylus... but don't get excited - they are so terribly inbred that they have a virtual zero percent fertility of eggs and the zoos have given up.
