Awesome to see alligator gars back and Chinese giant salamanders are hopefully going to be put on display soon. Do you know what's going to occupy the original electric eel tank once it moves out? Some small updates:
The new Electric Eel tank is open and is currently occupied by the park's 2nd Electric Eel. The original tank still holds the other Eel (but it will probably be moved to the new tank soon).
Also a glass partition has been placed in the former Chinese Giant Salamander tank. I guess the new Salamanders are still quite small and will occupy only part of the tank.
Lastly, 2 leucistic Alligator Gars have been added to the Dwarf Caiman pond.

If I'm remembering correctly I saw 3 of them on Thursday in the Dwarf Caiman enclosure. Though from our history are these perhaps the Platinum Alligator Gar we once put on display in the current Atlantic Tarpon enclosure?
Lovely to see that the Electric Eel enclosure is now open, I'll probably have to stop by soon to check on it
@Zooish I think the gars are from the pond at the Zoo's Forest Lodge event hall.
Columbian Tetra (Hyphessobrycon columbianus)This tank also has black ghost knifefish and some type of tetra
Oh, that's a Chinese softshell of the genus Pelodiscus. It was formerly monotypic, but it has since been split into 5 distinct species. Really cool turtles too, and quite popular as turtle soup. There is also a smaller one that used to live with the Chinese alligators when they were still at RW. Is it still there?

Does anyone remember the huge softshell turtle (Pelochelys cantorii) that resided within the Ganges River exhibit, alongside the gharials & Geoclemys ?
Treetops? Those are Nilssonia if I recall. There's only ever been one P. cantorii
