The zoo has been re-accredited by the CAZA after its usual review.
 
The zoo's facebook page has a video of Charlie the cougar's new home at Zoo Sauvage.

Also from facebook the new porcupines are named Thistle and Thorn. Cute names for porcupines.
 
The zoo has announced it has hatched Canada's first Sulawesi Forest Turtle. The little one has been named Skippy and he or she is doing well after its assisted hatching. Check it out on the zoos facebook page.
 
Here's a CHEX TV segement on the zoo. Its broken up as part of their morning show but you can watch them do a vet check on the lemurs and give a Burmese python a shot. Luckily you can scan through the video to find only the parts you want to watch.

Jacqueline, on of the zoo's reindeer, has passed away. She was an older animal with a number of age related problems.
 
The new gift shop is open and some new activities have been added to the playground.
 
Capybara, Pablo, has arrived from Toronto Zoo. If someone hears whether brother Diego moved with him please let me know.
