Not sure. I know they have one for an Education Animal, never seen it on display. The Snake Den is right near the Gift Shop. When was the last time you visited?
 
Yes, I believe the tegu was in there, along with a Pine Snake and I think a couple of lizards and a couple of turtles.

June 2012 was my last visit. I went like a day or two after the Sichuan Taken went on exhibit.

@Phantom Gaur, yeah I know where that is. Personally I liked the reptiles like Pine Snake, tegu, and Spotted Turtle in there but if it's better conservationally for the rattlesnakes to take the area then fine. I wish there was another place the zoo could display those species, though.

It's right there as you exit the boardwalk. Can't miss it. I wish they'd extend the Takin exhibit to where Otter is. It would give them natural shade since they cleared that exhibit.

Now you're talking. Hopefully the new Director makes some changes like adding permanent displays for the Reptiles and Amphibians. I'm all for losing the Australasia building. I really miss the V. mertensi they had on display in there. That building used to be worth visiting. I remember when they had The Clouded Leopard, albeit a small exhibit. Still nice to see. Now I sound like ungulate nerd missing everything. At least I was physically there to see and can actually miss them.

I feel like that small path outside the "Australasia" building is worth visiting, especially that aviary. Too bad all but the Parma Wallaby and barbirusa exhibits were closed on my visit:( I was very disappointed when I entered the "Australasia" building. It wasn't at all like I imagined. The only worthwhile part for me were the Partula Snails.

Went to the zoo today and here's the updates. Penguins were still on display along with the Cormorant. In the Australasia building, Wrinkled Hornbills were in the Tree Kangaroo area. On the Australasia trail, the Parma Wallaby is now inside the aviary and the old Parma exhibit had signs saying under construction. The newest issue of the RWPZ member magazine said they were getting Bennett's Wallaby for the old Parma exhibit, Black Necked Swans for the Penguin pool, and the Tree Kangaroos would be getting a new area(my guess, the old Red Panda/Kookaburra exhibit on the trail).

Shame it didn't work out, I was actually looking forward to the New England exhibit. What's a naro?

A 3 month old Rainbow Boa is the newest addition to the Education Department.
The new Bennett's Wallabies are on exhibit in Australasia, and there are a mother, father, and their young, a juvenile.
 
Zoo newsletter says that within the week they will be closing the Penguin exhibit and the Farmyard exhibit for a new Farmyard to be opening next year.
 
Also, went to the Zoo today. The Penguins and Farmyard were still open as of today. The new Great Horned Owl is located in the area next to the River Otter where the Cotton Tops used to go outside. Wetlands Trail was closed due to the set up for the Jack-O-Lanterns. In the Australasia building, the Wrinkled Hornbills are in the area that used to be the Tree Kangaroo. The Tree Kangaroo was in the small area that used to be the Chinese Alligator's inside Winter quarters. Bennett's Wallabys were in the old Parma Wallaby area. Still have Parma in their walk through aviary near the Babirusa. Kookaburra were in the old Wrinkled Hornbill outside exhibit on the side of the building. The smaller of the two outside Chinese Alligator exhibits was redone for Radiated Tortoise.
 
The zoo has started fundraising for a new Matschie's Tree Kangaroo exhibit. Here is their description of the project:
"Here at the Zoo, we believe in giving the best care possible to the animals in our collection. That's why we are reaching out for your help in building our Matschie's tree kangaroos a new home. With your support, we can not only create a wonderful new space for them, but a new exhibit for you to view this incredible species."
