The kittens were born to parents Jodi the mother and Atlas the father. They were born on April 23 which the zoo said is International Pallas’s Cat Day.

“We think mom, Jodi is a feline marketing genius for her timing!” the zoo said, with emphasis on “genius.” :D:D:D

On July 2nd, the zoo announced that the kittens were sexed as (4.0). On September 1st, the zoo announced their names, Kasper, Luka, Makari, and Reza.

On October 12th, it was announced that the zoo transferred a (1.0) red wolf named Chaco to the Trevor Zoo in New York.

On October 27th, it was reported that the zoo acquired (4.0) red wolves named Sam (father), Hunter, Max, and Notch (sons) from the Wolf Conservation Center in New York which are on display in the Wolf Woods exhibit. It was also reported the facility renovated the indoor viewing facility inside the Wolf Woods exhibit earlier in the year.

On February 2nd, 2024, it was announced that the zoo transferred a (0.1) Pallas's cat named Ruby to the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois on December 7th.

On March 22nd, the zoo announced they acquired a (1.0) cinereous vulture named Groot from the Toledo Zoo in Ohio earlier in March which is now on exhibit. The zoo also announced they transferred a (0.1) cinereous vulture named Eleanor to the Toledo Zoo.

On April 19th, it was reported that the zoo started construction on a new peafowl exhibit as well as a new experimental play area.

On September 12th, it was announced that a (0.1) Chinese red panda was born and was rejected by its mother, leading it to be hand-reared and later transferred to the Seneca Park Zoo in New York.

On September 17th, the zoo announced that they received a 10% increase in funding from the city. The zoo also announced they will be receiving upgrades in 2025 including a new EV charging station and repairs to the parking lot.

On January 31st, 2025, it was reported that the zoo would be celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2025. It was also reported that during the zoo's annual meeting they announced a new play area called the Creekside Play and Learning Center, which is expected to break ground in spring 2025 at the cost of $300,000. The new area will have three campsites, a new multipurpose building, and a variety of play spaces including a treehouse walk, a fossil dig, and a giant bird's nest. Also at the meeting, the zoo announced they are working on a new masterplan which will be revealed to the public in late July.

On April 17th, the zoo announced they reacquired Asha from Seneca Park Zoo which is now on exhibit.

Also on April 17th, it was reported that the zoo will start renovations to the old carousel in summer (consisting of moving it to higher ground to avoid flooding), which could be finished by late 2025.
