It seems that this zoo is not included in the media section for Spain, and probably is the third largest zoo in the Madrid area. What can you add about this safari zoo, any of you zoochatters?

The latest news from the fb page: Stripped hyennas added to the collection: Safari Madrid

2 African Lions were born at the start of the year, they are a male and a female named Zazu and Nala.
On May 18th, a Griffon Vulture chick was born.
On March, a dromedary camel and a zebra were born.

It's my favourite zoo in Madrid. Every year they make new exhibitions. Recently they made a new crocodile area and a new elephant viewing area outside the safari

I think they are building a new iberian wolf exhibition

I'd say that Safari Madrid is the only good safari park in Spain (I don't consider Selwo Aventura a safari park, since you don't drive thru the exhibit unless you pay extra).

Hi Guys,
I trying to build a katanga lions in europe database.
In Safari Madrid there should be many. Based on their Facebook they have:
MASAI, MARA, ZAZU, NALA, SIMBA, MATILDE, ANTONIO, FIN, AMY.

Can anyone confirm that? And if you have any details about them that would be amazing.
Best!

New individuals:
- Two young Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) bull brothers arrived to Safari Madrid from Wildlands! The animals are Ravi (10) and Ein She Min (15) and have arrived to the safari withing the specie's EEP.
The zoo wants to keep a bull herd, expecting a bigger bull to come next year. Alice and Baby (The safari's 50 year old asian elephant cows) have been kept in free contact since that was the training they were taught from the facilities they arrived from, but the new bulls will be kept in protected contact as they were trained at Emmen.
(Thanks to @KEEPER for posting it in zoosdelmundo! I don't keep up with Safari Madrid as much as I do with other parks ;))
