Safari Niagara Safari Niagara

No it seems to be a phase out species for the zoo. Perhaps the exhibit is being spruced up or maybe they have plans for another species. No clue. They are sterilized males I believe.

Wow long time to place them. I thought all of the displaced animals had found homes within a couple of months. At least they have a new home and can again be seen by the public.

Indian rhino male, Nandu, is moving to Safari Niagara from Toronto in early June.

After a visit yesterday, I can confirm that Safari Niagara now has two waterbuck. I don't know where they came from, but my best guess is Parc Safari, the only other holders of the species in Canada.

Are you going to upload photos from your visit?
Uploaded a few about 2 hours ago.

There aren't many photos, as most of the animals were either seen from the tram and couldn't get good pictures due to the tram's movement or were in cages where my camera can't focus through.

Safari Niagara is due to receive a female two-toed sloth later this fall/winter. She is currently 4 months old and is being hand-reared at Little Ray's in Hamilton, not sure if she will be a display or education animal!
