Sauvage Zoo of St-Félicien Saint-Félicien Wild Zoo news

You can see them on the zoo's facebook page. They posted a video of them.

Recent births include several bison, 3 bighorn sheep, at least one wolf pup (they dont yet know if more are still in the den), 3 black bears, 2 orphan moose calves, caribou, a yak calf, 2 Bactrian camels, and mini pot belly pigs.

There is just one wolf pup.

Another new arrival was a Japanese Macaque baby. They are hoping this little one will have a playmate soon as other females may be pregnant.

Devastating news from the zoo. 19 of the zoos 21 caribou have died in the month of July alone! The two survivors appear to be doing well. The initial testing seems to point to a blood parasite but officials are still trying to determine the cause. This has to be utterly gut wrenching for the keepers. The zoo says it plans to rebuild the herd in the next couple of years.
