Agreed! I was hoping for more of the ice look like in the renderings.the pool isn't that impressive either thought the project is certainly better than the previous exhibit.

I know this doesn't really matter too much, but I really like the exhibit's name.
Might want to steer clear of the zoo Jun 13. Gun activists are going to go with their guns. Not that they are a threat but it could create a gong show.

The gun craze is about the people who are determined to challenge all restrictions in any locale where open carry is legal. It really isn't about the zoo at all. Last week one such person walked through an airport toting a rifle.

It is so annoying that people do this all just to feel powerful. It would be funny if the zoo decided not to be open on the 13th just to avoid this. It wouldn't really do anything though, since they would just bring guns on a different day instead. If the zoo did decide not to be open on the 13th, then it would be beneficial, since lots of people who would of gone to the zoo that day would of had their time ruined by protesters.
