Hmm, I was unaware of this. What have you heard?Hello! When did Indian Rhino brothers Soman and Surat leave the Zoo?
Both left in 2015: Soman to a private facility in Fla and Surat to the Zoo of Baton Rouge. Both are now old enough to become breeders in their new locations.Hello! When did Indian Rhino brothers Soman and Surat leave the Zoo?

A new pair of young bachelor males entered late 2015 / early 2016.
The black leopard is indeed on exhibit in Asian Leopards but is not necessarily moving to Africa Rocks. The zoo recently posted a photo of the cat on Facebook and someone asked if she will be moving to Africa Rocks. The zoo replied "we're not sure yet."The leopard for Africa Rocks has arrived and is now on exhibit (currently, in the Asian Leopards exhibit). It is a female melanistic Amur leopard from Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Kansas.
According to zoo FB page, they have just acquired a 4 month old Amur leopard named "Charlie, aka Axle." Some of the responses on the FB page allude to where he came from and the likelihood of another cub from a different source being sent. Since I don't know the validity of the claims I will not repeat them here, but you can look at FB if interested. The zoo did state he is on exhibit in Asian leopards "but isn't always out and about."
That’s because the zoo now has 6-7 leopards (4 Amur and 2-3 (I forget) snow leopards) sharing 4 exhibits. The black leopard is very shy, so this cub was brought in to be a companion and hopefully make her a little more adventurous. To my knowledge the plan is still to move both to Africa Rocks.According to zoo FB page, they have just acquired a 4 month old Amur leopard named "Charlie, aka Axle." That makes 3 new Amur leopards all from different zoos. Asian Leopard space is getting pretty crowded.Rafferty, a male Amur Leopard will be leaving from his home at the Hogle Zoo next week to be a companion to Charlie(Axle).

Well, it seems the plans have changedRafferty, a male Amur Leopard will be leaving from his home at the Hogle Zoo next week to be a companion to Charlie(Axle).
Which is why it is probably best not to report plans on specific animal moves until the move has happened and the receiving zoo has announced it.Well, it seems the plans have changed![]()
I meant the move within the zoo- I did not know the zoo was acquiring another leopard.Which is why it is probably best not to report plans on specific animal moves until the move has happened and the receiving zoo has announced it.
