San Diego Zoo San Diego Zoo News 2020

San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park will be opening on June 20th. I just caught an error of mine, the reservation was only for the preview night on June 15th but there are no reservations currently as of its official opening date!

Went to the Donors preview day, here’s some points: Not many exhibits were closed, closures can happen or change according to what they post on their electronic board close to the entrance. Exhibits closed today were binturong, fennec fox, crested porcupine, aye aye, and ituri monkeys. Exhibits that can accommodate larger groups of people have some form of barrier typically rope and/or plastic barriers used in concerts or events. Frequent hand sanitizing stations and hand washing stations provides. I overheard multiple employees say that they can be up to 20% capacity which is 5000 people at a time, allowing the exact amount of those who go out to enter as well. Certain exhibits have thick acrylic or clear plastic barriers such as some monkeys or the maned wolf. Only one entrance for both ticket holders and members. They have masks there for sale, single use or reusable if in case you need to purchase any. And most or all tours are cancelled until further notice.

was originally posted on SD Zoo Safari Park forum by mistake, this is what happens when I worked an all nighter :/
