The female southern white rhinos brought in to try to save northern white rhinos have begun reproductive assessments. The birth of a northern white rhino calf is still a long way off but the first steps to figuring out how best to achieve that have begun.

I sincerely hope that a) the whole cloning thing works out, and b) that San Diego and other similar facilities don't become the only places in the world where living Rhinos can be found, and I feel that we are in serious danger of that happening.
It's a recent birth. I found out through a long string of people. They might be on exhibit soon (that'd be a really active exhibit).
It appears as though a litter of 6 cheetah cubs has been born recently at the Safari Park,as the Safari Park posted an image of Addison and 6 cubs. Can anyone confirm or deny if this was a recent birth or just an old image?

I was at the Safari Park yesterday and a keeper told me that one of the female tigers recently gave birth to 4 cubs. She didn't say which one it was
Confirmed: on January 28th, a male and two female cubs arrived to Sumatran Tigers Joanne and Teddy.
The Safari Park seems to have the best luck with big cat breedings! Too bad the zoo's not having quite the same level of success,although once every couple of years we get a jaguar.
Aren't the jaguars the only breeding pair of big cats at the zoo?
