This small zoo was created with the stipulation that the zoo maintains at least 50 monkeys at all times. Today, not only does the zoos have a diverse primate collection but it is the only US zoo with a neotropical themed masterplan.

The zoo's next project will be the pampas region featuring Giant Anteaters to open in 2010.

I live about 35 minutes from this zoo, but I've never been interested in visiting.

I'll see if I have time someday and visit the small zoo.

Zoo in trouble over number of monkeys?

A descendant of the zoo's first benefactor is filing a lawsuit, stating that the zoo was under the 50 monkey minimum since last November.
