At Santillana twin Golden Lion tamarins have been born. This seems to represent the Spanish first breeding of this species (!).
I don't see it, but I had to post the news, I love to see the keeper talks of US zoos but "Viviendo en in Zoo" was very boring.I see that you have been keeping in touch with the "Viviendo en un zoo" series![]()
Sorry for what I said, if I offended you. But, Zoo Aquarium de Madrid has very good keeper talks. I heard to two of them and they were very interesting and interactive.I'm actually really enjoying it! I have read and learned from José Ignacio Pardo de Santayana (the director of the Santillana zoo) since I was a kid, and these videos really kept me going.
Jose Ignacio is all a reference for zoo-freaks and is a wonderful person in face to faceI'm actually really enjoying it! I have read and learned from José Ignacio Pardo de Santayana (the director of the Santillana zoo) since I was a kid, and these videos really kept me going.
Nice addition and certainly since the species is now part of pilot reintroduction projects (in semi in situ / wild state) in Espagna. What I gather from the commentary is that they have 1.2 breeding group and a male calf and another female with an older female calf / juvenile. The 8th or 9th European bison calf born at the Santillana zoo eight days ago.
