Scariest movie you have ever seen

As the thread title suggests, what's the scariest movie you ever saw? (Halloween is just around the corner.)

I'm going to say Stephen King's 'It'. Holy crap was that movie scary when I saw it in the early 90s. I think many adolescents of my generation dislike clowns because of that flick.
 
I'm a huge movie buff who watches a lot of films each year but I've never really been into horror movies. I will say that the film that scared me more than any other is "The Changeling". It was released in 1980, it stars the great actor George C. Scott, and is a slow-moving but creepily effective haunted house flick.
 
Although it's an action movie, Aliens has been responsible for more nightmares than any other film I have seen.
 
"The Omen" (the original one with Gregory Peck and Lee Remick). I saw that on TV when I was about eight or so. I couldn't sleep a wink that night, and the next day I couldn't help staring at my classmates' heads to see if there might be a 666 mark... I haven't seen any horror films since then.

Seriously - "Titanic"? :p

I watched the Excorsist III when I was about 15 or 16 and was quite tipsy for the first time, that film scared me far more than I'd like to admit... ;)
 
The Blair Witch Project.

nothing is half as frightening as that for me personally, although I know many others will disagree.
 
As a child: "Time Machine" with Rod Taylor (= the old version). The next morning, I was still so scared, I couldn't watch from my bed to the door, because I was expecting to see one of those "Morlox" waiting for me and eat me for breakfast...

All in all: Alien (the monster was created by as Swiss by the way).

Yeah, the Morlocks were very scary to me in my childhood-I still love that movie-so much better then the todays blockbuster garbage...;)

But the Alien isn't a monster-it is just an animal, which follows its nature, so I felt much pitty for it ,as the "real"monster, the woman, blew it out of the airlock...poor Alien...;) Yeah, Giger was the only swiss genius:D, unfortunately, he passed away a couple of month ago !

Isn't everyone in your generation the same age? :p

I remember finding Jurassic Park/s rather scary, especially the stalking scenes. Not a big fan of horror movies in general.
