11I too am very fond of gulls, your grey gulls are awesome ! I've been thinking about starting my own private collection for a while now, but before I need to move to a country where laws are less strict than here in France ! It's easier to get a permit to kill a gull than to own one ! Just for information how did you get your gulls ? I guess the native species are rescue, but the "exotic" species came from zoos, did you buy the gulls from them ? It's a shame they're so rare in private hands as well as in public institutions, gulls are very interesting and clever birds.
Hi...i am also in Canada....i would love some advise on training birds...do u have any videos..web site...fb....lol. I could follow...thanksHi Leigh. I've been reading your posts about your gulls and am hoping you can help me. I live in Canada, and I am an animal trainer and collector, specializing in birds. I have been trying to find seagull breeders, as I want to buy several, and haven't had much luck. I know there are more gull breeders in the UK. Do you know of any breeders, or have any of yours bred yet? I would appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks so much!
Cherie
Wow...u have a gull in ur house 20 yrs now....amazing...does he bite....lolMy disabled herring gull, Miss G, is an 'indoor cat' since 2004, but I do walk my gull, as I share with her meeting other people and their dogs (Miss G likes dogs better than her fellow gulls which never seem to have respected her—she once was bitten by another herring gull when she was young). Gulls are NOT flying rats, they're flying kittens (they do meow), they're stubborn like kittens and can be as tame and gentle like kittens. Though, communication works better than with real kittens. We talk about anything—in human and in gull language. 20 years together this summer, Weoooow!
