Sea Life Adventure in Southend-on-Sea have unveiled plans for a new Tropical House and an area to house 21 Crab-eating Macaques. The Crab-eating Macaques will come from a lab in Italy and the Tropical House will be home to butterflies, birds, crocodile and fish.

Do they have a pool to jump into and swim underwater? (serious question, they like to do this in the wild...)

On Friday 12th July the group of meerkats kept as Sea Life Adventure escaped after their enclosure was vandalised. All the animals were rescued unharmed from the nearby promenade and are now back in their enclosure. There is now a £1000 reward for information leading to conviction of the culprit.
