Sea Urchins As Pets?

Hi, I was just wondering if it's legal to keep a single Sea Urchin/Kina as a pet in New Zealand. They're really cute, but I'm unsure on the legality of it. Thanks in advance.

Here is a list of regulations about pets in New Zealand: What Pets Are Legal in New Zealand? (simplenewzealand.com) It doesn't mention sea urchins. Kina (animal) - Wikipedia mentions sea urchins kept for aquaculture, so it seems that you can keep them legally

I would imagine it would be legal, considering the prevalence of tropical urchin species in the aquarium trade. However, if you were intending to keep an NZ species, would be worth checking the laws on keeping native species (although I would be extremely surprised if it isn't legal)
