The Ocean Pavilion which is set to open in 2024 will be the new home of all the animals that are currently kept in the Pacific Coral Reef exhibit at the Aquarium. However, once everything is moved out of that space, the Aquarium is looking for a new exhibit to replace it with and are open to ideas. What ideas would you have that could maybe become an actual exhibit for the Seattle Aquarium?

For those that haven't been, the space consists of a (I forgot the exact amount) 25,000-35,000 Gallon Main Display with about 8 other medium - smaller sized displays. Of course, the smaller displays could change out with the new exhibit, but I imagine the big tank is staying. Some ideas I've heard from staff and other workers are: Arctic Exhibit (something like what the Vancouver Aquarium does), Deep-Sea thanks to Monterey Bay Aquarium's new breakthroughs, although sourcing animals would be hard since Seattle doesn't have any ships or ROVs for Midwater Animals. Amazon since the smaller tanks could show off various Amphibians and Reptiles, while the bigger tank could house Monster Fish. And an expansion of Local species that are found within the Puget Sound and Salish Sea. Of course these are just ideas, but anything is possible.

I hope they don't do Amazon. While I LOVE Amazonian animals and fish displays, it has really been done a lot. Arctic or Deep Sea are much more unique.
