Hi all - I'm visiting Florida for a trip in September and I'm going to fly out of Orlando. I'm going to try to get to SWF earlyish in the day on a Friday and then I leave Orlando Saturday evening.
I really want to do the trainer for a day program (I did it like, 20 years ago lol). I keep seeing that you can extend it to a full day, but I'm only seeing the half day portion.
All of that being said - I'm looking for any and all advice. I work in the industry and so there's a chance with contacts I may be able to get in for free, but I'd fee uncomfortable asking for a tour or anything unless offered.
I have some ideas of what I want to do - if any locals have advice on where to start in the park - where to see any enrichment (and training) sessions, etc. I'm all ears.
If I get my way lol - these are what I want to do:
-Trainer for a Day (half day, if possible the full day)
-Rescue tour
-KW up close
-See dolphin cove. I never got to visit when I was there
Despite working in the industry, I'm a bit on the fence about whales and dolphins in captivity. That being said, I'm excited to check it out! I last went in 2007, peak Believe era. I haven't been post-Dawn or Blackfish.
