Selig Zoo

Does anyone know anything about Selig Zoo? It originated in Los Angeles almost a century ago and is mentioned at least a couple of times in the Jungleland history book.

It was a private zoo that was made up of movie animals. Selig was a movie producer. The current LA Zoo has some lion statues in the entry area that were from the Selig Zoo and have been restored.
