Sendaviva Sendaviva News and Info

New individuals:
- Two European minks (Mustela lutreola biedermani) have been welcomed to the park as part of the Spanish project for the preservation of the species.
When the park first started working with minks they bred the animals, but Sendaviva's current role on the species conservation is that of housing slurpus non-breeding animals living in breeding centers and preparing captive born minks to be released into the wild (as they did with the two minks that arrived last year), the video does not specify what the function of the recently arrived minks is.
They have also shown footage of the off-show mink facilities at the park, back when the "Bosque" area was accessible, the park had a visible exhibit for these endangered carnivores.

New individuals:
- Five male Bolivian squirrel monkeys (Saimiri boliviensis boliviensis) have arrived at the park as part of the species' EEP from a German zoo. They have already been introduced to the other individuals at the park and are on show in their regular exhibit.

- The park is also going to welcome Claire, a female Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra lutra) from Natur'Zoo De Mervent.

New individuals:
- Sendaviva has welcomed two breeding pairs of European white stork (Ciconia ciconia ciconia) from a French zoo. The park has housed white storks for many years in the form of unreleasable flightless animals and individuals flown in the bird of prey show, but never as breeding animals. They seem to be housed in the former Bonelli's eagle aviary.

Six more European white storks (Ciconia ciconia ciconia) have arrived at the park from NaturOparC in France, back in September of this year.
Thanks to this video I can now confirm they are housed at the former Bonelli's eagle aviary.
