After stumbling on one article and finding out the information in a few more, it looks like zoo officials are hopeful that Aurora, the female polar bear is pregnant. Of course they cannot be certain, but through artificial insemination, the sperm met the egg and she has not ovulated in the past couple of months.
I am hopeful that it works because then this could be a way to help increase the polar bear population. Plus with the opening of A Step Into Africa and the possibility of cubs, the zoo will get more money and maybe they can begin to come up with another area of the zoo to modify next.
