Well the overall target was easier than last month, I'm a member of ZooChat but I know next to nothing about chemical compounds and I cherish my ignorance! :p

As for the errors in species then let's see what I can come up with second time around... :)
 
Okay, I think that the two wrong answers are sulphur Crested cockatoo and black Rhino?
 
The situation this morning is that all the consonants are correct, but two of the species have not been named correctly yet. In one of them, the clue is in the photo, but no-one seems to have spotted it. In the other there is one alternative that no-one has thought of, much to my surprise.

first time I've had a chance to look at this. The first one is Little Corella. The third one I think must be a Beaded Lizard. That's the C and the L.

Yes the consonants are all correct. But the species are wrong. The Lizard has been identified already.
 
I have no idea what the hint is? Or do you mean it is a Western Corella?

It is indeed a western (long-billed) corella: ZTL gives both names. Although it's the bird that's facing west as all the creatures are, more or less, it's bill is roughly facing south as I took the photo at Blackpool.

Number 1 was one of the mistakes, which I have just answered. The other was number 4, which no-one has got yet.

Strictly speaking no-one has given a complete answer. I was expecting numbers 6, 8 and 9 to be spotted quickly, but I was surprised that the bufflehead and gaur went so soon. A good show all round.
@Brum already has a ✮ for hitting the target name and I will also award another ✮ to @aardvark250 for the first score over 10, more than double the previous best, with correct use of capital letters.

I have a lot more tongue photos on file. Should I sort out another tongue quiz? Do you like the hidden target word idea too?
