Ngozi will stay at DDZ, joining Nakawa from Melbourne and a male to be imported from RSA.

The other two will move to HGZ following quarantine in NSW.

The zoo's current pair are Moholo (2005) and Shani (2013).

Moholo came from Mogo Zoo in November 2013; Shani came from Boise Zoo in April 2014.

Moholo is the son of Sika, who was born at Auckland Zoo in 2002 to Indlozi and Mazimba. Sika moved to Mogo Zoo in 2003 and has fathered seven offspring.

Also, it would appear there has been another attempt at breeding between Indlozi and Shai which was unsuccessful. A caesarian had to be performed to remove the cubs.

This was actually Izazi's litter that died and had to be removed via caesarian in 2008.
