Hello all,
It’s about time I joined Zoochat! I am a huge enthusiast of animals and have truly been surrounded by them all my life. I was born and raised in the Hula Valley Region of Israel, where birds are king and have become my favorite animals. After serving my time in the Israeli army, I left for the United States and searched for school and job opportunities. I fell in love with the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, but have now left it to be back in Israel.
While I was is in the United States I actually met my now fiancé, who happened to be going to the same school as me. Because of him, I was able to visit Suriname and have even more of an interaction with awesome animals and the natural world. I am a proud supporter of diversity in the zoo and conservation world, and would love to see more people that look like me in fields like this. I am currently living in Israel, with no job, in order to care for my family, but hope to potentially work with Conservation groups in Israel. Love birds, vultures are the best, especially because my name means Vulture in Hebrew. Can’t wait to join more forums and talk about West Asian animals with y’all!
Sincerely,
Nesher!
