Unfortunately, this could become more common in zoos around the world. The threat from poachers is very real, and zoos may be the new target of these bloodthirsty predators. The market for tigers, bears, rhinos, etc. for medicinal purposes, especiallly in China, is as big as ever and pays extremely well.
If you did not know this already the wildlife parts trade is phenomenal. Simple hate this ... messaging will not do an inch for any Sumatran tiger.
It is a sad reality in this day and age. But where does your anger end ..., and where does responsibility or accountability come into play?
So, if you feel horrified or whatever inspired to do ... the right thing. Get writing through WWF's activism portals, write to the Indonesia Minister of the Environment, become member of the Sumatran Tiger Conservation Group or log onto one of the many rainforest conservation or local NGO advocacy group websites and get active.
