Do Singapore Zoo still hold all giraffe types: Rothschildt's, South African and hybrid giraffe?

BTW: The Indian imports are all - not was has been claimed Rothschildt's ...!!!! These are hybrids ... Period!

1. Buff-cheeked gibbon, Lar gibbon, False gharial, Asiatic softshell turtle
I believe there is some kind of snapping turtle in there too.
2. Rock hyrax, Cape ground squirrel
The cape ground squirrel died.
Reptile Garden
There is some species of lizard in the enclosure beside the Komodo Dragon. Not sure what species, don't think I took a photo of it.
4. *Empty*
Fennec Foxes

And also where are the hog deer and African spurred tortoise in KidzWorld? I don't think I've seen them there before, but might just have missed them.

Doesn't one of the enclosures near Sungei Buaya have alligator snapping turtles and the dwarf crocodile formerly from River Wonders?

RepTopia should still have the Rio Fuerte beaded lizards and an outdoor exhibit with red-footed tortoises unless something has changed. Also looks like the Amazon milk frog and red-tailed crocodile skinks are gone

Thanks for the list you gave to us! But, are there any news or updates as of July 2025? Like any new animals, phased out animals, or other rotations in their collection?

I'm planning on a trip to Singapore for three days later this month, and I'm especially excited to go to the zoo! I'm also interested to see and photograph more new taxas to add to my list, which is currently at around 1,700! I know that Singapore Zoo would greatly increase my numbers, and also that visiting this zoo has always been one of my dreams ever since I saw a commercial of them a decade ago :)

Thank you for any help and for making this current list!

The notable (mammal) addition to the list that I can think of is the L’Hoest’s monkeys. I haven’t managed to personally see them myself but was shared by @Nadchew_ ~1 month ago.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Jubilee's mother, Roni and the other female giraffe Lucy were both Cape giraffes while Marco is a Rothschild's, there aren't any Cape giraffes left since the Night Safari giraffes left.

Has the zoo's other Siamese crocodile now taken over the former saltwater crocodile habitat? Where exactly are the Southeast Asian box turtles and the other empty area?

Solomon island giant skink
pleased to hear about the return of this species!

for the giraffes, i based them off comments from the forum since i couldnt find any sources on what subspecies Marco is online

the Siamese is still in her current enclosure. the empty enclosure is Panjang's old one, which i couldnt find anything inside, including the Burmese Roofed Turtles that took over it; the heat lamp at the front of the enclosure was removed too

the exhibit with box turtles is the one around the Sun Bear enclosure where most of its inhabitants have moved to RFW Asia

If I understand correctly, the following species have gone off display or left the collection between Januari 2025 and July 2025?

- Dusky turtle dove
- Green tree frog
- Black-breasted leaf turtle
- Malayan flat-shelled turtle
- Reeves' turtle
- Gila monster
- Blue-tailed monitor

Doesn't Zoo Singapore keep the following species anymore?
They are still mentioned on ZooTierListe

- Goeldi's marmoset
- Black spider monkey
- Southern pig-tailed macaque
- Diana monkey

- Patagonian mara

- Chital
- Hog deer

- American wood duck
- Black-headed ibis
- Scarlet ibis

- White cockatoo
- Red lory
- Black lory
- Scarlet macaw
- Green-winged macaw
- Blue-and-yellow macaw
- Turquoise-fronted amazon

- Livingstones turaco
- Trumpeter hornbill
- Java sparrow

- Dwarf crocodile

Are these still part of the animal presentations?
- White-tailed porcupine
- Striped skunk
- Hog badger
- Banded mongoose
- Himalayan palm civet
- Californian sea lion
- Indian sand boa
Possibly some others mentioned above as well

Thanks!

Will try to answer to the best of my ability. A lot of these are off-display by now with some potentially no longer being kept.

Dusky turtle dove: only one individual which has probably died by now.
Malayan flat-shelled and Reeves' turtle: now in Rainforest Wild
Chital and hog deer: ditto
Gila monster: recently back on display afaik
Black spider monkey: which species does this refer to? Mandai have had black-handed and brown-headed spider monkeys, which the latter were kept until recently, may all be in the Amazon River Cruise at River Wonders now
Diana monkey: off-display animal meant to be housed in Rainforest Wild Africa when it opens.
Patagonian mara, banded mongoose, hog badger, scarlet ibis, trumpeter hornbill, macaws & Indian sand boa: show animals present in the "Into the Wild" presentation
California sea lion: new exhibit being built slated to open in 2027.
Dwarf crocodile: temporarily off-display but 1 male still kept in the zoo
Java sparrow: should still be in Fragile Forest
Himalayan palm civet: kept in Night Safari
Indian crested porcupine & Striped skunk: ambassador animal

Thank you! I will update my species list for this zoo accordingly :)
