I was looking through the internet for this and that when I stumbled across a number of postings about the zoo Sleepy Hollow. I would like to state that with a few facts being correct most of what was posted was incorrect.
Unfortuanatly time, grapevines and deliberate inacuracies change what really happened and the truth behind a place that was highly regarded by so many that fell victim to it's own success and the might of local law.
Sleepy Hollow has a thousand lovely memories about animals and people and how they connect. With the deepest sadness Sleepy hollow was outted by a tiny minority of people who had personal reasons to achieve it's demise, such as competitors, activists and second home owners in a Cotswold village.
I love to hear what people say of it now, though quite often it greeves me when what is said is so far from the truth.
I know all this because of the name I chose for entering this site 'Shikar'. He was a great friend and my first tiger........
