I knew it. Thanks for telling me @Hvedekorn !! I guessed it would be it, but I said I don't know much about the species and it is a chick so it could be any species.
To be fair, I only knew because they mentioned the species on their Facebook and Instagram.
The spotted hyenas exhibit, part of the new outdoor area which will be finished next year, is now open :

Last month 2 Jaguars (Panthera onca) were born, one of which is melanistic. Is this the first time that this species has bred at Randers?

When we visited the zoo in July the Lynx was also visible in his new exhibit as part of the new outdoor area

Around a month ago a Pileated gibbon (Hylobates pileatus) was born, the gender is still unknown.

At the start of this month an Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) was born. Is this a zoo first breeding for Randers?
This month atleast 18 Boa constrictors (Boa constrictor) hatched.

Yes, this is the first cub for Randers Regnskov.
Lynx is a fairly new species for Randers.
If I remember correct the exhibit opened in 2021

Yesterday just before closing time 2 visitors saw a female South American tapir (Tapirus terrestris) give birth to a young in the deep part of the pool! According to the Instagram post the Zoo Director saved the young from drowning, the young is doing fine now.

Soon these two jaguars will leave the park.
K'arka, the male, will move to Le parc des Felins next week, there he will be paired with a female named Leila (*2017).
Yana, the female, will move to Opole Zoo to live together with a male named Yuma, however no date is known for her depature yet.
