There was suppose to be a blizzard here last night but it has been snowing all day and nothing has stuck. Now it's tonight the blizzard is suppose to strike! It seems other areas have gotten it bad, though.

North of the Mason Dixon Line they're getting massive snow. Down here, we reached nearly 90 degrees this week.

Well the blizzard did arrive and school has been canceled for the day. Unfortunately, now we loose a day of Spring Break:( but at least be get out of state testing for a day:D

We had our first rain for March just before the F1 races - ~25mm. This is what is in store for us in the next few days:

"Stunning warm weather is the story for Melbourne until Wednesday, but then wind and showers will burst into the city on Thursday.

Melbourne is returning to warm and sunny weather today and tomorrow, although many will be happy it won't be as hot as most of March thus far. The running average for the month sits just under 30 degrees, which is a remarkable six degrees above average.

Wednesday is heading for a top of 29 degrees, followed by a warm night as northerly winds and cloud keep the heat near the surface. Most of the night will sit in the low-to-mid 20's, but this is well below the uncomfortable record minimum of 26.5 degrees set last week.

On Thursday morning northerlies are expected to become strong and gusty around the same time as showers develop. Roads may become hazardous and many umbrellas will turn inside out. Showers are most likely early in the morning, with those arriving late to work having the best chance of staying dry.

Northerly winds are likely to gust above 80km/h in the city before winds turn westerly and drop slightly with the arrival of the strong cold front in the afternoon. The front should only have a marginal affect on the temperature.

The passage of the front is also expected to produce showers, and possibly storms, meaning that the afternoon peak may also be hazardous. Once again, conditions on the road are more likely to favour those leaving later as showers and storms will clear during the early evening.

Friday will be far calmer than Thursday with light winds, mild temperatures and increasing sunshine presenting a nice end to the working week.

Looking ahead to the weekend and there is the chance of a few showers on each day, although most of the weekend will be dry."

Weather News - Melbourne to get warm, wet and windy

Snowing right now. With Spring on Wed, it seems winter doesn't want to go down without a fight:p Six inches predicted, other places 20!

It's good to be living in Texas, where the average temperature now is 70 degrees with plenty of sunshine.

A lot if snow in the NE of Scotland, so much in fact my schools closed :p

How many centimetres? 1? :D

I follow Dundee's weather every night religiously to make fun of my Scottish friend in Melbourne, so I am extremely curious about how much snow settled. Half a centimetre of snow usually paralyses London...

wait, what? 3-4cm of snow closes your school? Is it a school for ants!?

9 inches of snow fell (still faliing) in Boston, from midnight until now (6.5 hours). it is 32 degrees w/ 96% humidity. the snow is good snowball (is there a name specifically for this?) snow on top of slippery, slush-type ground cover.

It takes inches of snow, like more than 6, to get school canceled here! We got about 4 or so last night and we got a 90 minute delay.
