So How About the Weather....

Yes Tornadoes still freak me out, Oklahomans helped out tremendously 2 years ago and its something that the University of Alabama and University of Oklahoma have really bonded over.

And I'm sorry these tornadoes were awful but the media jumps in to air a Benefit for the Moore Oklahoma tornadoes after ignoring the much more deadlier and more costly April 27th 2011 tornadoes? More proof the media still hates the state of Alabama?

Here in the Greater Los Angeles area where I live it is 70 degrees fahrenheit but it is slightly cloudy, 2 hours north of me in Santa Barbara, CA it is 75 degrees fahrenheit and still still cloudy and 1 hour south of me in San Diego it is 66 degrees fahrenheit and cloudy

I am the total opposite of Arizona Docent, i actually like it cold, my preferred temperture is between the 40s and 60s, even the low70s is too hot but unlike anything into the upper 70s, 80s, 90s, and 100+ it is bearable

How do those temperatures compare with the average temperature for this time of year?

Last week we got 100mm of rain in a 24hr period - twice our monthly rain!!

The temperature these days are about average for June: 16C maximum. The snow season starts this weekend, but there will be no snow on the mountains for weeks. Australia's snow season, with the effects of global warming, has now shrunk to about 5 good weeks.

Partly we love a moan, partly we live on a small island surrounded by temperate water during the summer and winter months which naturally effects our weather.
I dare say they will tie themselves up in knots to prove we are not actually feeling colder, and wetter, but in fact due to man made climate change we are warmer and drier than we have ever been since the ice cap melted and cut us off from mainland Europe. And to prove it we will have to pay even more tax to fund the research and reduce further our 2%global co2 emission while watching manufacturing jobs move to China and India .
So there you go a good old British moan.:p

What sort of weather have the Britons had today? We were quite lucky in the north east, lots of lighting, as well as lots of rain and wind, but nothing too bad. Also, we apparently had about 90 mph winds this early morning

Yesterday was a really cold winter day here: 14C that felt like 6C with the howling winds, driving rain and hail. Oh, it's summer in Melbourne, by the way - last week it was 35C!

Seems this week has been bringing odd weather to everyone....

Unusually cold in Oz, windy and stormy in the UK, and a huge cold front is apparently sweeping across the States. I wonder how the weather is fairing for our kiwi in Asia.

He is either recovering from some exotic ailment that he refuses to go to a doctor to get checked out, or he is trying to renew some visa or the other. :p

A bit of snow up here in Inverness and more due later today/tonight so good opportunity to get down the Highland Wildlife Park ,if it stays open, and get some shots of the animals in the white stuff.

There are so few people in the UK who can say 'get down to Highland Wildlife Park' :D

Parts of the east coast of England are getting hit or have been in the last few hours with storms worse than they have been in 60 years. Some people are putting themselves in danger because they are travelling to watch the storms - storm watchers...

I like storm watching, but from the comfort of my home.

What's the snow situation where everyone in the northern hemisphere lives?
