Does any one know if this collection has been sold or not as i`ve heard nothing since the advert in Cage and Aviary?

The fact it has never been re-advertised may suggest it has been sold, although i thought it was a little pricey considering there is no accomodation on site.

On a similar subject anybody have any idea which collection this could be?

Is the collection zoogiraffe on about in Cumbria?
If so, then I think that the link Marcellus posted is the same place.

ive seen pictures of lakeland, some of the enclosures are terrible
I wasn`t ask if the enclosures where terrible i been to the place and know full what it looks like i could name some collections that are a lot worse but won`t.I was asking if anybody had heard if it had been sold by the sounds of it would say not,as i thought the asking price was a bit high when i saw it.

Sorry Ashley but i have to concur with Zoogiraffe on three points...
1. Cumbria is to the West
2. Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is not situated on the coast anyway
3. Lakeland Wildlife Oasis was for sale as a freehold property , the place advertised in my link is leasehold....

So does anyones have any ideas as to which collection it is?

Could it be the Jungle Zoo at Cleethorpes?

didnt mean to step on anyones toes! sorry

Not sold yet

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is still on the market and it hasn't been sold yet when I approached the owner. He said not much about it! I think the asking price is too high even though no accommodation!

Now is not a good time to buy....:(

I would think Lakeland and our mysterious East coast collection would have a lot of difficulty selling in the current climate. Let's face it is difficult to sell a house. All of the zoos and farm parks that I have talked to in the last week have found their crowds to be significantly down due to the poor summer. Given the poor return on your investment, we may see even more private collections on the market in the next year.

How about perhaps Dartmoor or Tenby or Mole Hall (if still open) or Exmoor or Combe Martin?

Its the smallest ones that suffer the most.

Believe Mole Hal is still open but its rumoured that it will close its gets for good soon.As for the rest Exmoor is a no the rest who knows.

exmoor is more medium than small, its a lovely little zoo witha great primate collection

Second that. Possibly the best 'smallish' all-round zoo in the country. And there is no way they are up for sale.

Tenby (presumably you mean Manor House) has only just been bought. Only Mole Hall is on the East side.

The mystery collection for sale on the East Coast is the Jungle Zoo
Thanks for answering that if i had the money i would still buy Lakeland over the Jungle its got more potential and more land to work with but the Jungles not a bad little place.
