[Scottish Sungaz]

My wife and i were at Rotterdam Zoo last September for the Studbook Keepers Conference. We only had a short time to look around but we were both very impressed.

First the Praire Dog Exhibit, this was very good.

Then the Bird House -

Toco Toucans

A Hyacinth Macaw - one of my favourite species.

Next up was the Reptile House -

Giant Tortoises, sorry about the poor pictures but the photographs were taken from behind glass.

And part of the reason for the visit, to see the Sungazers, unfortunately by the time we got to the Reptile House it was late in the afternoon and these guys were hiding!!
