Hi everyone, I just have some question about Zoo Miami
(1): I heard that the zoo have two ox species, Gaur and Bangteng, is the Gaur still on exhibit or as the former species list mentioned that it will rotational on exhibit with Dromedary
(2): Is the Kiwi still off exhibit for now?
(3): I plan to visit Miami on December, do the zoo still have some construction for now?
Thanks!

hello! Both the Gaur and Banteng is on exhibit, they have only a single Gaur on display but a trio of adult Bantengs and one recently had a baby. Ever single visit I have seen the Gaur, the only area with Dromedaries is the children's area so I don't think they rotate them anymore, the Banteng and Indian Gaur are in separate exhibits

The Kiwi is still off exhibit, the Asia Aviary has been closed for a while now, assumedly they are building the kiwi habitat in the former giftshop area.

as for construction so far the Wings of Asia Aviary is the only thing closed for revovations. there are a few empty exhibits due to certain animals passing such as the Black-Necked Stork, they were also redoing rockwork in the former Somali Wild Ass/Grevy Zebra habitat. the Siamangs are also currently off exhibit but they may be back by the time of your visit.

Thanks for your information! I may decide to visit Miami later since the Aviary is not open for now, so sad...
