This was just a random thought that popped up in my mind but has any institution ever mixed Southern Sea Otters and Leopard Sharks together in the same habitat? Sort of like a San Diego Zoo thing with their African Penguins where the tank is big enough for both species to co-habit (though the penguins started bullying the sharks so they had to be moved).
I know Monterey Bay keeps their otters with a few species of Rockfish, Kelp Bass, Garibaldi, and possibly some Surf Perch, and Aquarium of the Pacific houses Yellow Amberjack with their otters.
Geographically it makes sense, and in my mind at least the Sharks wouldn't harm the Otters in any way, but perhaps vice versa again like with what happened at San Diego. However, I'm going to assume there's a reason we don't hear about it more often.
