With my very weak (and unreliable) capacity of lion subspecies identification, I would guess the individual is either a west-african lion or a hybrid, but as I said, I'll ask BH zoo's director about it.
You guys take a look at him and tell me what are your impressions.

i bet they will keep them when the renovated the non renovated area, since it's officially done yet, 40% of the buildings are one.

Yes, his mane is huge indeed. BH zoo's director, mr. Humberto Mello, has just told me the individual is not a hybrid. He's going to check the subspecies on the zoo's archives.

Great job making that list! I'm new here and was wondering if there are any efforts to make lists of animals for all zoos in Brasil and trying to keep an updated database. I ask that because I loved what you did and wanted to do the same for the São Carlos Ecological Park since I've been there since I was a child and now they have an app. Also they are about to reopen on September 1st and I'll make sure to go there, specially because they have new enclosures.

Thanks for checking! That's very interesting, ZTL doesn't list Dortmund as a holder of any pure bleyenberghi.
